Earth Yoga NYC is a hot power Vinyasa yoga studio.

Vinyasa literally means "the intelligent putting together of things," or "uninterrupted flow" — the coordination of breath and movement.

At Earth Yoga NYC, our room is heated between 90-100 degrees Fahrenheit. All classes are experienced in a heated environment.

Styles you will experience at Earth Yoga NYC include:

Power Vinyasa Yoga 

Best described as asanas linked together while synchronizing one's breath with movement. The transitions of the yoga poses are done at a steady, deliberate pace, and–depending on the style of the teacher–this pace can be slow or more vigorous.

A Baptiste – influenced Power Vinyasa Yoga 

A combination of deep breathing and specifically sequenced sets of flowing yoga postures developed by Baron Baptiste. This style of yoga has the ability to build strength, increase endurance, release tension, and create more flexibility in the entire body.

Ki Power Vinyasa Yoga

A challenging Vinyasa-based yoga practice and Isauro’s signature class. It is fused with martial arts, meditation, and thai yoga massage. Classes flow to rock-n-roll and world music.

BuddhaXtreme 

The BuddhaXtreme Breakflow, suitable for both the beginner and advanced yogi, incorporates moves which can easily be incorporated into a yoga practice or fitness routine. It is a unique, easy-to-learn series of flowing movements of yoga plus breakdance moves which focus on alignment and breath. Style development with a focus on alignment, weight shifting, and interconnecting breath will provide an immersive understanding of the Breakflow. Innovative transitional poses make it a fun athletic class.

Ashtanga Yoga 

The roots of yoga run deep - experience the original Power Yoga with our 90 minute Ashtanga practice, offered on Friday evenings. A fluid dance of breath and synchronized movement, the Ashtanga Primary Series consists of 42 postures designed to condition and tone the whole body while keeping it healthy. The Ashtanga discipline is grace and strength combined, but is also an intense flow that will add vigor to your practice.

Community Classes 

Community classes at Earth Yoga NYC allow newly minted yoga instructors to teach a free class to willing students. Participants are encouraged to offer feedback and support to these instructors. Styles of yoga offered during our community classes have in the past included Power Vinyasa, Hatha, and Ki Power Vinyasa. All community classes are heated as normal.
