Andrea Borrero started practicing in 1997 at Integral Yoga and received her 200-hour certification in 2007 and 300-hour in 2008,
both at New York Yoga. She recently completed a teacher training with David Swenson in the Ashtanga Primary Series in
summer 2009 and additional teacher workshops with instructors like Shiva Rea and Rodney Yee continue to inspire her.
Andrea’s strong Vinyasa flow is an assimilation of anatomical knowledge, spiritual intention, meditation, and focused breath.
An avid runner and kick-boxer as well as a yogi, she loves the honesty found in simply moving and sweating.
For her, yoga is medicine; it’s peace; it’s intuition, and she strives to bring this deep respect for the practice into her classes by combining both vigorous and restorative practices.
As we learn more about ourselves, physical as well as subtle, we re-claim our body, our spirit, and our curiosity.
Each day is an adventure; Andrea thanks all her teachers - past, present, and future - for that gift.
