Natalie first fell in love with Ashtanga yoga eight years ago while in search of physical activity that was more meaningful than a conventional workout. She later expanded her practice through different styles of Vinyasa yoga when she moved to New York in 2004.
As an instructor, Natalie’s enthusiasm is rooted in helping others achieve a heightened sense of clarity and self-awareness through the blending of breath with movement. She is continuously awed by the bounty of physical, mental, and spiritual benefits offered by Vinyasa yoga, and she believes in the transformative experience it creates by bringing the self in communion with inner truths. Natalie urges openness and a light-hearted approach while on the yoga mat: empower the self by letting go. She believes that through yoga one’s perspective can be transformed, thereby improving the quality of every moment. Her class offers a path to discovery - discovery of the subtle strength and grace that comes when the mind is still and the heart is open.
Natalie recently completed David Swenson's teacher training in the Primary Series of Ashtanga. She is thrilled to have the chance to share this empowering practice in a fun and accessible way.
